Title: Associate Director - Compliance & Company Security Officer (Canada)

Location: Ottawa, ON

Clearance Required: Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret

Reports To: U.S. Facility Security Officer, Compliance & Data Protection

Summary: The Associate Director, Compliance and Company Security Officer (Canada) is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with all Canadian federal contract requirements, security regulations, and industrial security obligations. This role oversees internal compliance programs, supports government contracting activities, and leads all aspects of the Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Contract Security Program (CSP). The position ensures that the organization meets its obligations under the Policy on Government Security, Security of Information Act, and other federal directives related to the protection of sensitive or classified information and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

· Document and investigate matters that represent operational, reputational, or legal risk to Gartner and its brand and escalate as needed.

· Ensure conformity with the Gartner Conflicts of Interest Policy by responding to, triaging and/or escalating queries submitted to the COI Resource Center regarding actual and perceived Organizational Conflicts of Interest.

· Collaborate with other team members across the globe on projects and initiatives through transparent and proactive communication to improve Gartner's processes, policies, and training, with a focus on conflicts of interest.

Compliance Monitoring & Testing:

· Participate in the execution of the anti-bribery monitoring and testing program.

· Support the risk-based expansion of the anti-bribery monitoring and testing program.

· Document results of monitoring and testing and conduct follow-up per protocol.

· Support collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions resulting from monitoring and testing activities.

· Support the analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of anti-bribery controls and recommend improvements.

· Prepare metrics and reporting resulting from monitoring and testing activities.

Government Contract Compliance

· Interpret and implement requirements outlined in federal procurement contracts, including security, reporting, financial, and performance clauses.

· Establish and maintain internal processes to ensure compliance with Treasury Board policies, PSPC contracting requirements, and departmental security standards.

· Conduct internal reviews and compliance audits to identify and resolve gaps.

· Serve as the primary liaison with contracting authorities and federal oversight bodies.

· Support bid teams by identifying and validating security and compliance requirements during proposal development.

Industrial Security Leadership (Canada)

· Act as the organization’s Company Security Officer (CSO) under the PSPC Contract Security Program.

· Manage all requirements related to:

o Designated Organization Screening (DOS)

o Facility Security Clearance (FSC)

o Personnel Screening (Reliability, Secret, Top Secret)

o Safeguarding requirements for classified information and assets

· Maintain accurate records in the Online Industrial Security System (OLISS).

· Oversee secure facility zones, access controls, and protection of hard-copy and electronic classified information.

· Ensure compliance with the Government of Canada Standard on Security Screening and departmental directives.

Security Incident &

Risk Management:

· Lead investigations and reporting of security incidents, suspected compromises, and breaches of security protocols.

· Maintain incident response procedures in alignment with federal reporting obligations.

· Conduct periodic threat and vulnerability assessments for programs and facilities.

· Coordinate security briefings, debriefings, and ongoing training for employees.

Policy Development & Governance

· Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, contract compliance manuals, and training materials.

· Prepare for and facilitate government inspections, audits, and compliance reviews (PSPC, RCMP, CGP, etc.).

· Implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance and security posture.
