Job Title: Mobile Patrol Guard
Job Location: Ottawa, ON
Job Type: Full‑time
Shift Type: Monday to Sunday
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Requirements: G License, Clean Driver's Abstract and 25 years of age or above for insurance purposes.
Shift Schedules: 16:00-00:00 and 00:00-08:00 am.
- Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high‑traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
- Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies.
- Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulations.
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid ON Security Guard License.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
- Must be able to provide a clear driver's abstract and ON Full G license.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
