We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Chemist to lead our laboratory operations within the Industrial Waste Division. This is a working supervisor role and is ideal for a technically driven professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient processing of diverse waste streams.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise laboratory staff and oversee daily lab operationsMaintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliabilityVerify and categorize waste stream characterization in compliance with Reg. 347Provide technical expertise to the sales team regarding waste treatment and disposal optionsEnsure quality control for all inbound and outbound waste streamsOversee waste processing activities including bulking, blending, and neutralizationAmend manifests as required to reflect accurate waste characterizationSource and negotiate optimal disposal solutions for various waste streamsQualifications
Degree in Chemistry (Chartered Chemist designation preferred) or Environmental Sciences with strong chemistry backgroundMinimum 8 years of industry experience in laboratory or hazardous waste managementStrong knowledge of chemistry and hazardous waste treatment processesProven leadership skills with experience supervising technical staffCompensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
