We are looking for someone with a passion for baseball to join our team as a Sales Manager for Ontario. In this role, you will manage key accounts and a team of field sales representatives. You will play a key role in the growth of our brands by overseeing sales activities, supporting representatives on a daily basis, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales representative management
- Manage and monitor key accounts with sales representatives, helping them to ensure proper follow-up.
- Monitor the performance of major accounts and ensure that the various brands benefit from optimal potential and adequate after‑sales services.
- Define sales targets by brand with each sales representative to encourage growth and stimulate new business opportunities.
- Regularly review sales with each rep to discuss successes and growth opportunities.
- Encourage and support sales reps in their initiatives and in developing relationships with retailers.
- Maintain a strong relationship with retailers and obtain their feedback on sales representatives. Foster a positive relationship between sales reps and other teams to create a strong sense of belonging and collaboration.
- Organize sales meetings
- Manage regional marketing budgets and develop annual plans with sales reps and encourage new initiatives within the regional marketing program.
- Meet with sales team on a weekly basis.
- Communicate relevant information and feedback from reps and retailers to suppliers for existing and new products.
- Participate in S&OP meetings.
- Attend supplier meetings.
- Present new products, convey supplier/brand vision and objectives to sales team.
- Present our successes, areas for improvement, plans to implement these improvements and divisional objectives to our suppliers and Lanctôt's management team.
- Keep abreast of industry news, research new and existing successful brands to identify and assist in the acquisition of new brands that share our passion for the sport.
- Work to exploit current opportunities and find new ones within our industry and market.
- To increase sales year on year, to become bigger and more important, and therefore more valuable to our retailers and suppliers.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of the baseball industry
- Involvement in the sports community
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
