Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 base salary + commission

We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to manage day-to-day sales activities while supporting clients, suppliers, and internal teams. This role combines technical expertise, client engagement, and sales operations to ensure a smooth and effective sales cycle from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a strong understanding of the capabilities of the equipment offered
- Build and maintain a solid understanding of key clients and their operational requirements
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key clients
- Provide technical information and equipment quotations upon request
- Develop a working knowledge of the Canadian defence procurement process
- Manage quoting and solicitation processes for small projects to ensure bids are complete, compliant, and competitive
- Coordinate closely with the project management team post-sale to ensure smooth delivery of goods and services
- Coordinate service and repair activities
- Manage relationships with assigned suppliers
- Work with suppliers and Canadian partners to support product demonstrations
- Plan, manage, and attend product demonstrations for clients in Canada
- Plan, manage, and accompany supplier visits to Canada
- Plan, manage, and accompany client visits to supplier facilities
- Conduct sales support visits to suppliers as required
- Attend trade shows and industry events as required
- Travel within Canada and internationally, estimated at 10–25% of the role
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Bilingual English/French is an asset, but not required
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, including understanding product specifications, compliance requirements, and demonstrations
- Eligibility to pass a Canadian Controlled Goods Program security screening
- Ability to obtain Canadian Government Level II (Secret) Security Clearance if required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales or a related field
- Defence industry or military experience is an asset, but not required
- University degree or college diploma in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proven ability to manage projects and think strategically
- Competitive base salary ($80,000–$100,000) plus commission
- Paid vacation: 3 weeks (including a one-week holiday closure in December)
