Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON, for a Sales Manager at Comfort Inn Ottawa West - Kanata. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones. Day-to-day tasks include managing relationships with corporate clients, creating business opportunities with local companies, setting and achieving sales targets, conducting market research, and collaborating with the internal team to optimize sales proposals and agreements.

The Sales Manager will also represent the hotel at industry and networking events.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and business development skills, including experience in client acquisition, relationship building, and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present, and engage clients effectively.
• Knowledge of the hospitality industry, including trends and market demands, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in market research, using CRM tools, and creating detailed sales reports.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership abilities, including managing teams and guiding collaborative efforts across departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience in the hospitality or tourism industry, particularly in sales, is an asset.
