Canadian Tire Kanata is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as Cashiers. If you enjoy helping customers, working in a fast-paced retail environment, and being part of a team, we want to hear from you! This posting is for both part-time and full-time positions.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to customers at checkout

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area

• Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately

• Promote and explain store promotions, loyalty programs, and products to customers

• Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming & name tag)

• Assist with other store tasks as needed (stocking, organizing aisles, customer assistance)

Major Requirements and Competencies:

• Ability to provide professional customer service and support

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Ability to stay composed and efficient in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

• Comfortable using technology (point-of-sale systems, scanners, etc.)

Policy, Procedures, Standards:

• Work in accordance with Canadian Tire best practices, store operations, and customer service standards

• Follow all health and safety procedures and report any hazards immediately

• Participate in training and store meetings as required

• Keep current on store policies and procedures
