Wallack’s is hiring an Inventory & Fulfillment Coordinator to support the daily operations of our retail store and e-commerce business. This is a dual-role position — part customer-facing sales associate
, part inventory and fulfillment specialist
.

🧭 About the RoleThis is first and foremost a retail job
. You’ll spend your day assisting customers, working at the till, restocking shelves, and keeping the store organized and energized. When not on the floor, you'll be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and shipping speed — receiving products, picking and packing orders, and resolving fulfillment issues.
- Customer‑Facing Retail Duties
- Assist customers with art supplies, framing, and product questions
- Process POS transactions, refunds, and special orders
- Restock retail shelves and signage; keep the floor clean and organized
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and Zendesk
- Receive, verify, and label incoming shipments
- Pick, pack, and ship online, wholesale, and school orders
- Complete weekly cycle counts and resolve inventory errors
- Manage BIN locations and coordinate across departments
- Update customers about delays, backorders, or special charges
- Maintain a clean, efficient warehouse and shipping area
- Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in retail, fulfillment, or inventory
- Knowledge of art supplies
- Experience with Shopify, POS systems, or Zendesk preferred
- Skills
- Great customer service — in‑person, phone, and email
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and multitasking
- Positive, proactive, and ready to support the team
- Passion for art, creative tools, and visual presentation
- Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Able to lift 45 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and be on feet all day
- Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Available for key periods:
Aug 15–Sept 30 and Nov 1–Jan 15
