Assistant Restaurant Manager – Multi-Unit

$50,000 – $55,000 annuallyQuarterly bonus potentialYear-end super bonus potentialFree employee parking | RRSP matchingBig Rig at Ottawa International Airport is looking for a multi-unit Assistant Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting operations across more than one location.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run shifts, develop teams, and keep service standards high — even when things get busy (which they will).
What You’ll Do
Partner with the Restaurant General Manager to support daily operations across multiple unitsLead by example on the floor, ensuring strong guest service and smooth service flowRecruit, train, coach, and develop Food Travel ExpertsAssign daily goals, tasks, and shift coverage to meet operational needsMaintain merchandising, inventory levels, and brand standardsMonitor sales performance and support cost control effortsEnsure compliance with company policies andprovincial health & sanitation standardsSupport office and admin functions including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and receivingWhat We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years of food & beverage management experienceExperience in casual dining requiredStrong shift leadership and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to handle conflict, work under pressure, and make sound decisionsExcellent communication skills (English required; French bilingualism an asset)Organized, reliable, and comfortable supporting more than one locationWhy This Role Works
