Quality Control Specialist – Eurofins Environment Testing Canada, Inc

- Compensation: CAD 45,000 – CAD 55,000 yearly

The Quality Control Specialist supports the laboratory’s quality assurance program by ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures we maintain the highest quality across all testing activities.
Responsibilities- Conduct internal method audits and close findings in a timely manner.
- Organize routine inspections of premises and equipment; perform partial audits to verify specific elements.
- Review and analyze control charts to detect trends and recommend corrective measures.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of verification and validation documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and support the application of the management system.
- Participate in root‑cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate follow‑up of the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Review KPIs and highlight areas of concern.
- Participate in external and client audits.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and records, including preventative maintenance logs.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Control environment.
- Understanding of laboratory quality control and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality management systems (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025) is an asset.
- Knowledge of root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Computer literacy and ability to manage documentation systems.
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry instrumentation such as ICP/MS, IC, GC/MS, GC/FID, and LC/MS/MS is an asset.
- Post‑secondary education, preferably in Chemistry.
- WHMIS and Safety training.
- Internal auditor training is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
