As a member of the Compliance team, the Senior Specialist, Compliance leads audit readiness, manages regulatory frameworks (including SOC 2 Type II), and scales compliance, risk assessment, and assurance programs. The role requires significant cross‑functional collaboration and is highly visible across the organization.
Responsibilities- Prioritize multiple projects and coordinate timelines and milestone tasks.
- Serve as key point of contact for cross‑functional collaboration, supporting compliance processes and control performance.
- Manage the Quality Management System (QMS), including controlled documents, incidents, CAPA, and effectiveness checks.
- Coordinate risk assessments, audit testings, and effectiveness checks for regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate Distiller
SR’s responses to audits and external requests. - Stay current with regulatory developments and guide stakeholders in a matrixed environment to adapt as needed.
- Perform quality assurance, especially reviewing change/configuration management processes.
- Contribute to streamlining and continuous improvement of all compliance programs.
- Initiate and support investigations and process improvements.
- Guide, coach, and support team members to achieve compliance and audit‑ready objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree, preferably Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years in a technical or compliance role, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Ability to coach, advise, and support team members in a cross‑functional, matrixed environment.
- Critical thinking and a risk‑based approach to assess and prioritize issues.
- Strong organizational skills and agility.
- Results‑oriented with accountability.
- Attention to detail in processes and deliverables.
- Relationship building and interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude.
- Excellent communication skills—presentations, verbal, and written.
- Discretion and independent judgment.
- Growth mindset and ability to learn new software and skills.
- Understanding of and application to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, GRC tools, and productivity suites.
Salary Range:
CA $67,000 – CA $82,280 per year
. Compensation is determined by skills, experience, and fit.
