, located in Nepean, ON., is welcoming a Veterinary Receptionist, Technician Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!

• Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and the treatment of pet patients
• Providing compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients
• Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
• Technical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint, client care, and surgical assisting
• General hospital maintenance, including cleaning kennels
• Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team
• Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages

• Compassionate approach to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations
• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
• Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
• Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
• Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!
