• Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
• Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
• Produce diagnostic radiographs
• Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
• Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
• Counsel clients on animal health care
• May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties

Education:

Completion of a two- or three-year animal health/veterinary technology college program is required.

Credential:
Being eligible for a Certification and/or license from a regulatory authority (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians)

Experience:

A minimum of three years of experience working with a veterinary cardiologist or veterinary cardiologist service

Salary: $36.00 hourly, 30 - 40 hours per week.

Flexibility is required. The regular schedule Tuesday through Friday, 10 hours per day. On call a possibility.
