Kennel Attendant

DRAGONLUCK Kennels is a small business located in Stittsville, ON K2S 1B6. We are customer-centric, challenging, demanding, and our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and healthy environment where client dogs and staff can spend their days. Staff should consider themselves to be "clean freaks".

Liking dogs is important, but recognition that the job requires physical fitness, flexibility, resilience, and mental stability is essential.

Working in a team, the successful candidate will receive training both on the job and online. Reliable transportation is required (public transportation is not available). Since staff spend their days outside, appropriate clothing and footwear are necessary.

The staff at Dragonluck Kennels are responsible for the total care of the dogs and the facility. Daily tasks include:

• Walking and playing with dogs; cleaning outdoor and indoor spaces; cleaning dishes, blankets, floors, crates, and runs; washing dogs
• Completing online training courses provided by the owner and participating in in-person training such as pet first aid
• Client interactions, giving tours, answering emails, online booking, and invoicing
• Maintenance tasks related to grounds and property

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Expected hours: 35–40 per week

Schedule:

• Daily shifts divided into two shifts, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
• 8-hour shifts
• Day and evening shifts
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute or relocate to Stittsville, ON K2S 1B6, is required.

Experience:

Commercial dog care (not family pet) for at least 1 year preferred. Work is in person.
