Rotation / ShiftsDays and nights, including weekends, 12‑hour shifts.
Basic Requirements- Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of three (3) months general nursing experience.
- Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of the nursing process as it relates to general medicine/surgery patients and the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of the care of the general medicine patient, and ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrate ability to assess the patient's learning needs and plan appropriate teaching.
- Demonstrate ability to participate as an active member of the health care team.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines.
- Identify a commitment to personal continuing education activities.
- Demonstrate understanding and willingness to participate in self‑evaluation.
- Demonstrate understanding of the application and relevance of the nursing audit.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- A degree in Nursing.
- Proficiency in English and French – advanced level oral expression and written comprehension.
