It serves as a welcoming hub for rural residents in North Grenville and surrounding communities, relying heavily on a network of dedicated volunteers and partnerships with community stakeholders to deliver a broad spectrum of supports.

Services and Programs

Seniors’ Community Services offers a diverse suite of programs tailored to support physical well‑being, social engagement, and daily living needs. Key offerings include Social and Recreation Programs;
Active Living Centre classes (e.g., yoga, exercise), card games and workshops, day trips, and virtual engagement opportunities like Seniors’ Centre Without Walls, which connects participants via phone for wellness and interactive sessions.

Community Support Services

Practical assistance, including Meals on Wheels, transportation to appointments and errands, foot care clinics, friendly visiting, telephone reassurance, and community referrals.

Volunteer Engagement and Community Role

Volunteers are a central force in delivering services—from meal preparation and delivery to personal visits and social programming—reflecting the organization’s community‑oriented model. Through ongoing outreach, events, and partnerships, it plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for older adults and adults with physical disabilities across its service area.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing and leading the organization, including strategic planning, operations and administration, and program and service delivery. Other management responsibilities include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The Executive Director will build and nurture a collaborative and effective team environment with staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Leadership & Strategic Impact
    Champion and integrate the organization’s vision, mission, and values in all strategic decisions, partnerships, and operations.
    Serve as an ambassador and advocate for the organization within the community.
    Maintain strong, visible relationships with community members to ensure programs remain responsive, equitable, and aligned with evolving local needs.
    Collaborate with municipal and provincial partners, service providers, and community groups to influence systems‑level change and strengthen community capacity.
  • Strategic & Operational Leadership
    Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of organizational strategic and operational plans aligned with Board direction and community priorities.
    Ensure excellence in service delivery through oversight of programs, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
    Support and empower staff in day‑to‑day operations while maintaining accountability for organizational performance and client satisfaction.
    Identify emerging risks and opportunities and proactively position the organization for sustainable growth and impact.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
    Foster a culture of open, transparent, and inclusive communication across staff, volunteers, partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
    Build and sustain strong relationships with community organizations, donors, volunteers, and advocacy groups.
  • People‑Centered Organizational Leadership
    Cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and high‑performing organizational culture rooted in equity and respect.
