Job Description
The House of Commons’ Parliamentary Precinct Operations is currently looking to staff the Assistant Finishing Operator (commercial printing) position.
The assistant finishing Operator is responsible for the final steps in processing printed products for Members of Parliament and other clients on Parliament Hill. This involves following specific House of Commons guidelines and using various machines to prepare, adjust, operate, and maintain equipment like binders, inserters, and inkjet systems. Tasks include addressing, inserting, folding, scoring, perforating, franking, and preparing mail, as well as binding, boxing, and tagging finished products for shipping.
Due to operational requirements, you may be required to work evening shifts. This role requires significant physical efforts and therefore, the candidates must successfully pass a pre-placement medical/ physical fitness assessment.
