Adecco is currently hiring Assembly Operators in Ottawa, ON to work for our client, a medical device manufacturer who is dedicated to advancing diagnostic technology to improve patient care. If you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and you have strong attention to detail, this job is for you!

This role requires Canadian Education or Degree or WES Certification.

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Pay rate range: $20.00-$23.00/hr depending on shift

  • Shifts: 12hrs > 6:30 - 6:30

  • Job type: Ongoing assignment

  • Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Assembly teams to maximize quality, efficiency and throughput.

  • Follow engineering instructions as they apply to builds or experiments

  • Staff manual line positions as scheduled Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures

  • Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures

  • Elevate quality and productivity observations to help minimize defects, scraps and maximize throughput Deliver accurate, timely, and legible record keeping in compliance with procedures

  • Demonstrate compliant gowning and clean room techniques and maintain a tidy, organized and clean workspace

  • Communicate ideas and suggestions for improving the Assembly practices to Assembly leadership Understand and comply with applicable EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines and applicable manufacturing procedures

  • Other miscellaneous duties as required

  • Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / Canadian education / Degree or WES certified

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Technical aptitude

  • Preferably experience working night shift

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Able to work in a fast paced, repetitive environment

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • An effective team player

  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word

  • Clean criminal record

  • Flexibility to work 12hour shifts including weekends

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
