JOB SUMMARY
The Transit Fleet and Facilities Maintenance team provides safe, reliable, efficient, timely and cost-effective transit vehicle maintenance services to support federally regulated transit services within the City. The Materials & Warranty Management section manages the Transit Services Purchasing Operations & Warranty Programs, including materials management and warranty administration, inventory management, tool purchase/management, procuring and expediting goods & services, and maximizing the proceeds of disposition of surplus and obsolete materials.
You ensure the availability of stock for transit bus and facility maintenance, and the accurate recording of inventory activity. You are responsible for general effectiveness of materials management operations within established procedures and guidelines, involving problem resolution and functional supervision of less experienced personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of 3 year community college diploma in Business Administration, Materials and Operations Management or related field
Minimum of 3 years of materials management and control experience, preferably in a bus and/or automotive parts environment.
