Hays Construction & Development has partnered with a well-recognized High Rise Developer/GC in Ottawa & Gatineau to recruit for the very important position of Director of Operations, High Rise Development!

In business for over 2 decades, they have been a well recognized, name brand in the local construction market.

They are a well-established and growing high-rise residential developer with active and uing projects across Ottawa and Gatineau. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, they are entering a new phase of growth and are seeking a Director of Operations to serve as the right hand to the President and the face of thepany across both cities.

Your new role

This is a pivotal leadership role for a seasoned construction and development professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. You will oversee all project execution, lead a large team of Project Manager's and Site Superintendent's and act as the key liaison between clients, internal teams, and senior leadership.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring project delivery, managing cost reports and schedules, and representing thepany in both municipalities of Ottawa and Gatineau. This role has a clear mandate: take ownership of operations and help scale and grow the business.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this vital expansion role, you should have at least 10–15 years of progressive and practical experience, ideally in Ottawa and Gatineau. You should be fluently bilingual in French and English. Your post-secondary education should be a degree in Engineering or Architecture (Civil preferred).You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in high-rise residential construction and have proven leadership of large teams (30+), ideally in a growing organization.

Strong knowledge of the Ottawa–Gatineau development and permitting landscape.
