JOB SUMMARY
The Business Support Services (BSS) Branch is responsible for providing business support through a centralizedbranch that consolidates and streamlines the delivery of specialized business supports and services to anassigned department, and standardizes where feasible. The dual mandate of the BSS is to provide key businessknowledge and capacity to support policy, project management and a number of administrative functions to General Managers and operational Services and Branches within the Department, and to support the City as awhole by working collectively and collaboratively to enhance operations and support corporate-wide initiatives.
The Program and Project Management Officer (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging) position will support the Thriving Workforce Team in the Business Support Services. The Thriving Workforce Team leads equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, human resources, learning & development, and well-being strategies on behalf of the Community and Social Services Department. The PPMO will plan, implement, and monitor equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives on behalf of the department.
You are responsible for leading or undertaking complex departmental or branch projects assigned to the BSS,providing project management services including defining project scope, preparing project documentation, andleading an assigned project team.
You also lead and undertake the development and evaluation of corporate and departmental administrativepolicies and programs assigned to the BSS, and provide expertise to management and staff in the application ofthe policy development process, and the interpretation and application of policies, procedures, guidelines andservice standards.
You also: support performance improvement services for the modification, development and evaluation of policies,procedures, processes and service standards; support the departments Stakeholder and Relationship Management Strategies; lead or coordinate assigned corporate programs and initiatives, in accordance withcorporate direction, and represent the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of 4 year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
