Our client, is a respected construction organization with a long-standing reputation for quality, safety, andmunity impact across the Ottawa region. They are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead, direct, and continuously improve their Health, Safety, Security & Environmental program.
This is a senior leadership role, focused on program ownership, CORpliance, and team leadership—not a full‑time site position.

Your new role

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will own thepany-wide safety program, ensuring regulatorypliance, driving continuous improvement, and reinforcing a strong safety culture across all projects. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders while leading a dedicated internal H&S team.
Your day-to-day job will revolve around your abilities to lead, direct, and continuously improve all HSSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with IHSA COR / COR 2020 standards. You will also oversee and maintain organizational COR certification, including audits, documentation, and regulatorypliance.
You will provide strategic oversight of site safety while conducting rotational site visits as required, in addition to supervising, coaching and developing the internal H&S team to ensure consistent execution of safety initiatives.

You will also partner with Project Managers and Superintendents on site‑specific safety plans and risk assessments, lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation and serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, clients, and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this vital role, you should have at least 5+ years of progressive HSSE experience within construction environments. Demonstrated success leading and maintaining COR / COR 2020 certification, strong working knowledge of OHSA, IHSA standards, and construction safety best practices. Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring HSSE staff. Practical, solutions‑oriented approach with strongmunication skills

Education & Credentials
  • Post‑secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience
  • NCSO required
  • CRSP considered a strong asset
