Using a human-centred design lens and an innovation-driven approach, the Project Coordinator, Systems Innovation is responsible for leading all activities associated with the Systems Innovation (SI) project. The SI Collaborative brings together PQCHC and three ACB-led partner organizations in a shared effort to amplify youth voice and representation within the education system, with a particular focus on ACB and newcomer youth.
This is a project-specific role with a defined scope and timeline, and the successful candidate will step into an initiative already in progress. The Coordinator will be responsible for rapidly building situational awareness by reviewing work completed to date, understanding established project directions, and gaining fluency in the existing design, research, and partnership framework. They will be expected to quickly build trust and continuity with partners, stakeholders, and youth collaborators, ensuring that momentum is maintained and the project vision is upheld.
As the SI project enters its execution phase, the Coordinator will lead the continued research, co-design, testing, and evaluation of programs and services for youth. They will carry forward pilot projects already underway and translate insights into scalable solutions. A significant component of the role involves managing partner relationships, coordinating collaborative activities, and shepherding the project toward defined deliverables and outcomes.
The Coordinator will have shared responsibility for financial oversight in partnership with the Manager, ensuring budgets are monitored, spending aligns with project plans, and resources are allocated effectively. They will also lead the completion of all funder deliverables, progress reports, and related documentation, ensuring high-quality, timely submissions that reflect the work and impact of the SI partnership.
Job Specific ResponsibilitiesCore responsibilities include:
- Maintaining continuity of project activities by understanding previous work, decisions, and deliverables.
- Strengthening and stewarding relationships with ACB-led organizations, youth collaborators, community partners, and funders.
- Leading co-design sessions, pilot development, implementation, and evaluation activities.
- Managing project timelines, milestones, and documentation to ensure successful execution.
- Contributing to and monitoring project budgets alongside the Manager.
- Preparing funder reports and leading all aspects of deliverable completion and communication.
- Identifying and pursuing funding opportunities that support piloting or scaling successful prototypes.
This role requires strong project leadership, exceptional relationship-management skills, and the ability to step confidently into a mid-cycle project and guide it through successful implementation.
Planning and Experimenting- Leads, develops and incorporates emerging and proven innovation models, technologies and related trends, focusing on education and social impact.
- In consultation with the Manager, Youth Programs and CDS Director, develop and implement a comprehensive operational plan and innovation strategy to reach more students/residents in need, taking into consideration various factors, including the needs of the community, priorities and capacity of PQCHC, availability of funding, potential partnership opportunities, best practices in the sector and learnings from our own experiences and those of our partners.
