Maintenance Aide

Maintenance Aide – Part Time – Southbridge Care Homes, Ottawa, Ontario

Reports to the Environmental Services Manager.

Southbridge Care Homes is looking for a Maintenance Aide who can serve as a “resident advocate” for our Ottawa location. On a daily basis, the Maintenance Aide will be responsible for specific operations related to mechanical, electrical and maintenance departments. The Maintenance Aide will be the first point of contact from the management side for any concerns related to the facilities of the home.

• Provide support in the maintenance department, including painting operations, general upkeep, and ensuring everything meets company standards.
• Assist with exterior duties such as snow removal, property lighting, garbage and other general maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as required.

• Post‑Secondary Certificate in skilled trades or related program, or high level of experience.
• One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical home operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time, work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
