Maintenance Technician IV – Novonesis

Novonesis is seeking a senior-level Maintenance Technician IV to perform advanced maintenance and repair of production equipment and infrastructure. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and utilities systems and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, mechanical seals, laser alignment, and other complex equipment.
• Maintain operation and surveillance of plant utilities, ancillary equipment, control panels, and building control systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and testing instruments, and determine corrective actions.
• Monitor, calibrate, and maintain critical systems such as pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Ensure compliance with CCOHS, CEC/NFC, and other safety regulations.
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules and SOPs.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
• Operate forklifts, lifts, and other specialized equipment safely.

• A valid electrician license is strongly preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical school or associate degree is a plus.
• Instrumentation and calibration experience is considered an asset.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing/industrial equipment.
• Minimum 8–10 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience, with expertise in one or more technical trades (e.g., welding, electrical, mechanical).
• Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
