Int Representative, Property Claims Level 1

What can you expect from the role?

• Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently.
• Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy.
• Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems.
• Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement.
• Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files.
• Assisting in managing the property queues.
• Availability to work within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST.

What you bring to the role?

• A university degree, 2-year college diploma, or CIP designation would be an asset.
• Licensing in New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland would be an asset.
• Experience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset).
• Familiarity with CICS and CDS systems.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Actively pursuing CIP designation.
• Must be available to participate in catastrophic loss duties across Ontario (potentially on a national basis) if support is required by other regions.
• Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset.
• Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers.
• Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
• Team player adaptable to a changing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: $50,200 - $92,500
