VMware VCF​/VxRail Consultant

Insight Global is seeking a VxRail / VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Subject Matter Expert to support a government environment in Ottawa. This individual will lead and execute VCF on VxRail deployments, upgrades, and operationalization, with a strong focus on secure, enterprise‑scale data center environments. The role requires hands‑on expertise across NSX, vSAN, disaster recovery, and automation, as well as experience building runbooks and operational guides for long‑term support.

This role is five days onsite in Ottawa.

• Clearance eligible
• Proven experience as a VxRail / VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Subject Matter Expert
• Experience leading VCF on VxRail projects within government environments
• Hands‑on experience with VCF 9 deployment and administration
• Strong experience building, upgrading, and managing VCF on VxRail clusters
• Experience with VxRail and vSAN stretched cluster deployments
• NSX experience, including migrations and greenfield deployments
• Experience delivering micro‑segmentation initiatives in support of zero‑trust architectures
• Data center build experience in enterprise environments
• Disaster Recovery implementation experience using VMware SRM, TSM, and other enterprise backup solutions
• Hands‑on deployment and configuration experience with: vRealize / Aria NSX‑V and NSX‑T Horizon View Site Recovery Manager RP4VM VMware HCX vSAN
• Experience developing runbooks, operational processes, and technical documentation
• Power Shell automation and custom scripting experience
