The Laboratory IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) configuration and supporting day‑to‑day laboratory IT needs. This role includes creating analytical packages, custom test lists, updating regulatory guidelines, and providing technical assistance to employees.

  • Maintain and update LIMS configurations, including analytical packages, custom test lists, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist users with IT issues such as printer connectivity, remote connections, and network problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
  • Collaborate with IT and laboratory teams to ensure seamless integration of LIMS with other systems and workflows.
  • Participate in system validation, upgrades, and documentation processes.
  • Install and configure new workstations for laboratory and office environments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Support special IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of LIMS or other data management software.
  • Strong computer literacy and comfort with database systems.
  • Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and terminology.
  • Tech‑savvy, fast learner; preferred experience in LIMS and/or chemistry.

Temporary position: until December 2026.
