The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) is a federal Crown corporation that contributes to the stability of the Canadian financial system by providing deposit insurance against the loss of eligible deposits at member institutions in the event of failure. CDIC has been protecting Canadians’ deposits for more than 50 years. It was established in 1967 by an act of Parliament following financial disruptions that underscored the importance of depositor confidence and systemic stability.

Reporting to the Vice President, Technology & Data, the Head, Enterprise Technology & Application Data Solutions is a senior leadership role with enterprise-wide accountability for CDIC’s application ecosystem, data platforms, and core IT strategy. This role sits at the centre of a significant transformation agenda and offers the opportunity to shape the future of technology and data at a systemically important public institution.

With major initiatives underway, including application rationalization, the implementation of a modern data platform (Databricks), and continued migration to Azure cloud, you will help modernize CDIC’s technology foundation while ensuring reliable, secure, and high‑performing day‑to‑day operations. Working closely with the Vice President, you will accelerate stabilization efforts, strengthen delivery discipline, and develop the strategies and roadmaps that will guide CDIC through its next phase of evolution ensuring all aspects of technology are considered.

This role is critical to enabling CDIC’s mandate. You will ensure that enterprise technology and data capabilities are modernized, resilient, well governed, and aligned with business priorities in a highly regulated environment. As the most senior leader supporting the Vice President, this position is also designed to provide exposure and readiness for broader enterprise technology leadership as succession needs evolve.

You are a seasoned technology and data leader with deep experience across operating and modernizing enterprise applications, data platforms, and IT strategies in complex, regulated organizations. You bring strong judgment and credibility at the executive level, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, business‑focused advice and recommendations.

You have a proven track record of delivering enterprise‑scale solutions, modernizing legacy environments, and establishing pragmatic data governance and operating models. Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams through change, you balance innovation with strong discipline around cyber security, risk management, and controls. Collaborative and service‑oriented, you build high‑performing teams and trusted relationships, and you thrive in guiding organizations through sustained technological and data‑driven transformation with a strong focus on business outcomes.
