Senior Systems Analyst

We are looking to contract the services of a Senior Systems Analyst to assist in the detailed analysis, development, testing and maintenance of solutions in support of a large government project. Must have a valid security clearance at minimum Reliability.

Responsibilities

Tasks and deliverables include but are not limited to:

• Participating in all aspects of systems design, analysis and implementation of a large legacy System and/or development projects;
• Convert a large legacy Java Swing desktop application into a modern scalable z web application;
• Develop Restful service APIs in Java and possess a strong knowledge with J2EE, EJB, XML;
• Design and develop Angular components across the web platform;
• Analyzing and participating in the creation and gathering of business requirements;
• Contribute to process improvements, design and implementation strategies to aid in a timely delivery of a web application.
• Adhering to quality assurance standards in each phase of development and performing checks on their own work as well as the work of others.
• Performing unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as required;
• Performing independent verification and validation of software applications and systems function and performance;
• Attending project / team meetings and briefings to articulate the proposed design or changes in a manner that makes sense to staff or to reach an understanding and/or solution to related problems and issues;
• Supporting and using the selected agency methodologies and best practices;
• Supporting systems in test and production environments; performing complex problem resolution/debugging;
• Preparing the system for releases (production and lower states) and coordinating all changes with impacted partners; and
