Senior Solutions Architect

Leverage Tek is actively seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for a 6- month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

The successful candidate will be required to work 2x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.

• Lead the architectural design for the Future State of Retail Batch (FSRB), ensuring alignment with business strategy and enterprise architecture principles.
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures (diagrams, models) for payments systems and present them to stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintain and enforce enterprise architecture standards, policies, and governance across all IT initiatives.
• Analyze emerging technology trends (cloud, APIs, microservices) and recommend solutions to enhance business capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional requirements and deliver business value.
• Provide strategic guidance and advice to leadership on architectural decisions, risk, and innovation.
• Contribute to cloud migration strategies, integration patterns, and modernization initiatives to optimize IT landscape and operational efficiency.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with proven experience in strategic IT planning.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologies, API design/integration, MFT solutions, and secure mission‑critical systems.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and their application in designing solution architectures.

• Experience with the Canadian payments ecosystem (ACSS, Lynx, RTR).
• Ability to produce and communicate architecture artifacts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Knowledge of modern design paradigms (event‑driven, microservices, containerized deployments, SaaS solutions).
• Proven stakeholder management and influence skills across business and IT leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills under pressure with incomplete information.

• Bilingual (English and French) communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture.

Hourly Rate Negotiable
