OverviewThe System Application Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and support of enterprise applications, with a primary focus on transitioning SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online and administering other in-house business applications. This role involves planning, coordinating, implementing and supporting application transition activities, ensuring system reliability, security and optimal performance.
SharePoint Transition & Administration Responsibilities- Lead and support the transition from SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online.
- Administer and maintain SharePoint environments (On-Premises and Online).
- Create and configure sites, lists, and permissions.
- Troubleshoot Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) workflows and Nintex workflow updates.
- Monitor servers and apply monthly Windows patch testing and verification.
- Manage third-party tools (e.g., HarePoint).
- Administer Project Server and support Records Management projects.
- Configure GRM and perform content migration (Connexions, Destination, Info Net, Project Server).
- Manage desktop tools, web applications and cloud-based applications.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor application systems on servers and cloud tenants.
- Perform regular monitoring, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Handle support tickets and collaborate with business units to resolve application errors.
- Enroll new users and manage access rights and privileges.
- Apply service packs, hot fixes and updates.
- Ensure cross-training and documentation of application maintenance processes.
- Coordinate delivery of new application components and updates for COTS applications.
- Identify system inefficiencies and recommend automation and innovation opportunities.
- Strong experience with SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online administration and migration.
- Experience with Project Server and workflow tools (e.g., Nintex).
- Proficiency in web administration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot creatively and solve complex problems.
- Experience supporting high-availability applications.
- Familiarity with testing and validating systems in test environments and implementing upgrades in production.
- Knowledge of data management, security and disaster recovery procedures.
- Strong understanding of release management, version control and patching processes.
- Advisory experience providing recommendations to management or clients.
- Experience with third-party tools such as HarePoint.
- Knowledge of GRM configuration and content migration strategies.
- Familiarity with automation and efficiency improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of Drupal.
