Job Description

ADGA is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This role is a trusted advisor to the leadership team within their client group and plays a critical part in aligning business strategy with people solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong employee relations experience, deep knowledge of Canadian employment legislation with particular experience in Ontario and Quebec.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires sound judgement, professionalism and a positive mindset to help support building out HR programs across the business.

  • Minimum five (5) years of Human Resources experience, ideally in a Generalist or HR Business Partner role, including:
    • Employee relations
    • Performance management
    • Compensation planning
    • Learning and Development
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a distributed or multi-provincial workforce.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, with a focus on Ontario and Québec, including CNESST requirements.
  • Experience partnering with internal recruitment teams and external agencies to support recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Minimum of a College Diploma in Human Resources (University degree preferred).
  • Contribute to the organization’s total rewards strategy by supporting salary benchmarking, benefits vendor collaboration and program analysis, and pay equity compliance (Ontario Pay Equity requirements and Québec Pay Equity/CNESST obligations).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and deep knowledge of HR procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and demonstrated ability to remain objective and impartial.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using an HRIS system.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation considered an asset.
Qualifications
  • Partners with leaders to provide trusted advice in the areas of Human Reources such as employee relations, career management, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning and workforce planning.
  • Plays a key leadership role within their assigned Client Group to support the alignment of business strategy with HR services and solutions.
  • Provide leadership coaching and strategic advice to support leaders in finding and implementing solutions to resolve complex people challenges.
  • Support a distributed workforce ensuring consistent practices to support employee engagement across our sites.
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle, market analysis, and salary structure administration, ensuring alignment with provincial employment standards and organizational strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment legislation, with particular emphasis on Ontario and Québec labour standards and CNESST requirements.
  • Support total compensation programs, including base pay, benefits, and pay structure administration.
  • Provide compensation planning support during annual review cycles.
  • Offer guidance on market competitiveness and pay equity considerations.
  • Partner with Finance and external vendors to support benefits administration and ensure programs remain competitive, compliant, and cost-effective across provinces.
  • Provide advice to management on the effective application and interpretation of corporate personnel policies and programs.
  • Support recruitment strategy and workforce planning initiatives through partnerships with ADGA’s internal recruitment team and external agencies as needed.
  • Participate actively with the development, coordination, implementation, ongoing administration and communication of various HR programs, policies and initiatives, including:
    Total Compensation, Engagement, Culture, HRIS, KPI & Metrics, Employee Relations, Contract agreements, Health and Safety, and Onboarding.
  • Works closely with the HR team to ensure consistency of approach for HR program and solutions across the business.
