Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Calian is looking for a passionate and dedicated Physician Assistant to join the Canadian Armed Forces healthcare team in the National Capital Region. This is an opportunity to work with military healthcare professionals in a dynamic environment, providing top-tier medical care to active military personnel.

You will play a key role in the health and wellness of Canada’s military members, collaborating with physicians, nurses, mental health specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions to keep the Armed Forces ready for duty.

• Periodic Health Assessments and routine medical screenings
• Obtain medical/incident history; perform focused and comprehensive physical examinations
• Obtain and interpret routine diagnostic tests (e.g., CBC, chest x-ray, EKG)
• Apply rapid intervention in trauma and cardiac emergencies
• Provide health promotion and illness prevention in basic public, occupational, mental, and community health
• Collaborate as a member of an interdisciplinary team and consult with other health professionals as appropriate
• Provide teaching and instructions to patients

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)
• Certified by PACCC through the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA)
• Current membership in good standing with CAPA
• Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C Certification

• Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level

Hourly rate between $52.75 and $59.45.
