- Supporting comprehensive risk analysis across critical infrastructure sectors to identify both foreseeable and unforeseen threats to national security.
- Supporting the development of mitigation strategies by contributing to working groups and developing standard operating procedures.
- Participating in the development of short- and long-term recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Performing cross-functional research on critical infrastructure policies, practices, and capabilities to assess their relevance and completeness in addressing security risks.
- Providing subject matter expert recommendations in critical infrastructure-related topics.
- Providing support in the development or amendment of policy and legislation.
- Participating in national critical infrastructure working groups.
- Supporting the growth of the critical infrastructure protection research network with external collaborators and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts to identify research needs.
- Managing daily interactions with stakeholders to maintain effective and productive partnerships.
- Communicating project status and updates clearly to collaborators and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Disseminating research information with collaborators and stakeholders on the status of various projects.
- Planning and managing the content and delivery of project tasks.

- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field from an accredited school. Having education in these related fields would be considered an asset:
Infrastructure protection & international Security, International relations, Criminology, Defence studies, and Law.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of formal training and experience is required.
- Ability to manage own project tasks and budgets (approximately $10,000 to $20,000).
- The ability to provide recommendations on strategy is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of federal nuclear and security agencies, including their mandates and operational roles.
- Awareness of a broad range of national security risks and resilience factors, often involving highly confidential information on operational vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
- Discretion and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Ability to develop, adapt, and communicate clear, compelling messages to diverse audiences.
- Skilled in managing and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Expertise in identifying process gaps, policy weaknesses, and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in conducting detailed analysis and summarizing findings into concise briefing materials for senior executives and decision-makers.
- Strong presentation skills, including both development and delivery.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teams and interagency working groups.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with the ability to navigate a matrixed organization and collaborate effectively with a diverse set of external stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong, cooperative relationships both within and outside the organization.
- Highly self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
