Senior Manager - Financial Accounting and Advisory Services-Transactions at EY.

As a Transactions Senior Manager, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. FAAS operates principally through four main pillars:
Enhanced Corporate Reporting & Accounting, Finance Optimization, Treasury Management and Transactions Advisory. We help CFOs and finance functions automate and streamline efficiency, controls, and compliance, while improving the value Finance provides to the organization. You will be part of a team that delivers fit-for-purpose financial advisory services to our clients and their stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships to develop a robust business development funnel for the Transactions service pillar. Develop long-term client relationships and networks and collaborate with EY practices to service client needs.
  • Provide innovative commercial insights for clients by adapting proven industry delivery methods to meet organizational needs, with a focus on IPOs, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Improve transaction readiness, operational and reporting efficiency, and effective decision making. Support local business development activities and client engagement teams across a variety of clients and sectors.
Client Responsibilities Skills and attributes for success
  • Lead external client consulting engagements focused on planning and executing Transactions initiatives (IPO planning/execution and/or acquisitions/divestitures), advising on solutions to increase deal value, improve processing efficiency, drive automation or reengineer processes to align with future state target operating models.
  • Lead business development initiatives including service offering development, proposal development, responding to RFXs, and participating in oral presentations.
  • Stay informed of changing market conditions and regulatory developments and their impacts on clients.
  • Specialize in EY’s Transactions service offering to provide subject-matter expertise and go-to-market activities.
  • Manage the financial and commercial aspects of engagements, including staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders.
  • Build strong internal relationships within the FAAS practice and across EY service lines.
People Management Responsibilities
  • Prioritize the development of people through coaching, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for staff.
  • Lead or contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training FAAS professionals.
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills; model workplace policies and procedures.
What we look for
  • 10+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 7+ years of related work experience
  • Professional designation and/or qualification (e.g., CA, CPA)
  • In-depth knowledge in several areas including IPO readiness, acquisitions/divestitures, disposals, financial reporting and internal controls (SOX 404 or NI 52-109)
  • Technical accounting experience in IFRS and US GAAP
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with leading and delivering transformation programs across assessment, design and implementation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with willingness to travel on short notice
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment and build credibility with clients
  • Track record of driving revenue and developing new prospects at senior levels
