· Engagewithstakeholderstocommunicatetheidentifiedchangestoclosegapsandbringthe
DNDintocompliancefromapolicyperspective;
· Applytheacquiredunderstandingofthedepartmentalcontextandintricaciesto“unblockthingsthroughgoodrelationships withkeycontacts inother departments”.
· Participateintheplanninganddefinitionofthekeyprioritiestoensurecompliancewiththeproperaccountingtreatmentforcapitalexpenditures;
· Engageinternalstakeholderstodevelopbusiness requirementsforenhancementof
DRMIS(SAP) financialand material system in support of the Vote 5 Accounting Treatment Projectimplementation to comply with new Receiver General (RG) coding requirements (SAP is the ERPusedat
DND);
· Assist with thepreparation of communications on behalf of Senior management (communique’s tostaff andcentralagencies);
· Providestrategicinputforthepurposesofbriefing Senior Management (upto ADM) onthe projectimplicationsfor suchthingsas Briefing Notesor Memorandums ;and
· Advisethe
DGFOS(Project Sponsor) and Directorontheparticularrisks,challengestoimplementation.
Qualifications
· Mustdemonstratethattheproposed resource has an accountingdesignation(CPA,CA,CMA,orCGA).
· Mustclearlydemonstratethattheproposedresource has a minimum of five (5) yearsof experience within the last ten (10) yearsworking for or working with the Federal Governmentproviding financial managementadvicetoseniormanagement.
· Mustclearlydemonstratethattheproposedresource has a minimum of two (2) yearsof experience in the management ofcorporateandfinancialprojectsinvolving
· financialprocesses and systems that affectmultiplefunctionsacrosstheorganization
· Must clearlydemonstrate that theproposedresource has a minimum of two (2) yearsof experience performing accountingfunctionson assetsorinventorieswitha
· minimum
