Position: Desjardins Private Wealth Management Client Advisor

Desjardins Private Wealth Management offers a comprehensive advisory service based on a personalized approach to discretionary portfolio management and tax and trust services. It offers top-notch support and guidance to meet the needs of high-net-worth clients interested in sound management and passing on their wealth. These services are provided to clients through private wealth managers. As a Desjardins Private Wealth Management Client Advisor, you contribute to managing, prospecting, soliciting, developing and maintaining business relationships with members and clients.

You’re often the first point of contact and you communicate with clients, including in relation to managing the 360 offer, and you’re also responsible for a large part of the administrative tasks related to transactions. You balance sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, profitability and member/client satisfaction. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Establish an advisory relationship by identifying current and potential needs and supporting client retention.

  • Advise members and clients on the best solutions and strategies and determine target outcomes.

  • Analyze and meet complex client needs, handle requests and follow up as needed.

  • Collect, compile and analyze data. Write reports and make recommendations.

  • Assess client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and make improvements as needed.

  • Monitor the industry to stay on top of the latest trends, opportunities and best practices in your field.

  • Support the management team by ensuring the day-to-day management of files in accordance with established quality standards, analyze and verify written requests, handle complaints and carry out and control operations.

  • Follow up on transactions, make and enter changes, and send information to the appropriate departments.

    What you bring to the table

  • College diploma in a related field

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients.

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel in a Windows environment

  • Action oriented, Customer Focus, Differences, Drive results, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning
