Senior Personal Banker – Home Borrowing

Then join us as a Senior Personal Banker – Home Borrowing and demonstrate your subject matter expertise in providing sound financial planning advice to promote customer loyalty and investment returns.

In This Role, You Will
  • Create a consistent and exceptional customer experience in the branch, with a specialty and predominant focus in home‑borrowing advice and experiences.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and expertise of real‑estate secured lending products, with in‑depth knowledge of investing, day‑to‑day banking, and all other TDCT products and services.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover and understand customer needs, owning solutions that align to mandate and bringing in an expert for needs outside of your capability.
  • Improve customer financial confidence through ongoing dialogue and by answering questions and providing advice.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert in the branch for both customers and colleagues regarding all products, services, policies, and procedures of TD – especially regarding personal banking and business banking products/services or policies/procedures owned within the branch.
  • Maintain a professional and inviting space in all common areas of the branch, adhering to premises, marketing, and/or regulatory guidelines.
  • Consistently engage in proactive customer outreach (via phone, email, etc.) to discuss portfolio updates and/or additional opportunities that best serve the customer's needs; be present in the community for additional customer outreach.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends to support advice recommendations.
  • Ensure documentation that is prepared and completed is accurate, properly reflects the customer/business' intentions, and retained in accordance with business policies and procedures.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork, and ensure timely communication of issues or points of interest.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting, acquiring and retaining customers/advice opportunities and referrals to drive growth for TD; this role is particularly responsible for achieving market share growth by bringing new business to TD.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma and/or post‑secondary or undergraduate degree (in a related field) preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Financial Planning II (FP II) post‑appointment within 12 months.
  • Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent certification.
  • Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA).
