About the Role

EY Centre is hiring a Manager, Event Management to lead our Event Coordination team and ensure exceptional event delivery from first call to show close. You’ll oversee our Event Coordinators, serve as the escalation point for clients and internal teams, and drive planning consistency across timelines, documentation, and on-site execution. This role also takes a lead on office management
, keeping the department organized, responsive, and running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support a team of Event Coordinators (coaching, scheduling, workflows, standards).
  • Oversee event planning and execution: client communications, site visits, event timelines, budgets, and on-site leadership.
  • Ensure accurate event documentation (event orders, floor plans, staffing/service bookings, run-of-show planning).
  • Coordinate with internal departments and venue service partners (security/first aid, cleaning, AV, rigging, food & beverage).
  • Act as the primary escalation point during planning and live events, solving problems quickly and calmly.
  • Own department office operations: templates, trackers, reporting, shared inbox workflow, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • 3–5+ years in event planning/event management (venue/hospitality/live events is a strong asset).
  • Experience leading a team or mentoring/coordinating others.
  • Strong client service mindset with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple events, shifting priorities, and firm deadlines.
  • Strong admin/process skills—able to build structure, improve workflows, and keep details tight.
  • Post-secondary education in event management/hospitality/business preferred (or equivalent experience).
