We are seeking a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer who will bring technical excellence and leadership to projects across North America and beyond. Fluency in both English and French is essential to support our Quebec‑based teams.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Apply design skills to prepare or coordinate contract drawings, sketches, and concept design through to construction.
- Collaborate with mechanical group members, other Stantec disciplines, and clients to achieve project success, acting as a project team member or lead.
- Successfully carry out assignments on project design teams.
- Effectively communicate with team members in the department or project team.
- Manage and lead mechanical aspects of a project.
- Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and support to team members.
- Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Plant3d, Inventor, Solidworks, Revit, Aveva
E3D, Micro Station, and other relevant tools. - Develop 3‑D models and design of piping and mechanical systems.
- Collect and verify data in client facilities.
- Prepare isometric drawings.
- Represent the field and interpret drawings.
- At least 10 years of experience in industrial consulting.
- Bilingual in French and English (required).
- Strong collaborative and leadership skills, with proven ability to lead project teams and activities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Commitment to Stantec’s Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) program and a strong safety focus in the field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Ability to work in a constantly evolving technology and project environment.
- Technical degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 10 years of experience.

Pay TransparencyIn compliance with pay‑transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. For part‑time roles, compensation will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
