, you’ll shape the strategic direction of our Impact Assessment services and strengthen our position as a trusted advisor to the mining industry. You’ll leverage your technical expertise and established client relationships to deliver world-class solutions, guide complex projects through regulatory landscapes, and champion sustainability from concept to completion. Your leadership will not only accelerate ERM’s growth but also influence how mining projects are planned, permitted, and executed—ensuring they meet the expectations of investors, regulators, and communities.
Your Impact Is
- Serve as a trusted advisor to mining clients, guiding them through regulatory strategies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead the delivery of environmental and social impact assessments for major capital projects.
- Drive business growth by leveraging your industry relationships and technical expertise to win and deliver strategic projects.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop the next generation of ERM leaders.
- Collaborate globally to share best practices and innovate solutions that set ERM apart in the market.
Required:
- BSc/MSc in Geological Science (preferred), environmental science, engineering, law, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in capital project delivery, impact assessment, and permitting within Canada’s mining sector.
- Deep understanding of federal and provincial legislation and permitting processes, with a focus on Eastern and Northern Canada.
- Proven track record of multi-million-dollar sales and successful project delivery.
- Established industry reputation and strong relationships with mining companies and regulators.
- Ability to engage positively with Indigenous organizations and governments.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (French, Spanish, or other languages).
- Experience with mining sector projects and integrated sustainability solutions.
- Technical mining services experience to support pre-feasibility studies and preliminary economic assessments.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow ERM’s mining sector business in Canada.
- Build and expand client relationships, delivering strategic consulting advice and exceptional value.
- Oversee impact assessments, permitting, and compliance for major capital projects.
- Lead high-performing teams, fostering talent and driving professional growth.
- Collaborate with ERM Partners globally to find innovative solutions to advance Impact Assessment services including:
- Environmental (climate & air, integrated water, wildlife/biodiversity)
- Social performance (Indigenous and stakeholder engagement, economic, archaeology, and human health)
- Regulatory strategy and permitting
- Project siting studies
- Management and monitoring plans, and compliance monitoring
- Ensure projects meet health & safety standards, financial targets, and client expectations.

For the Partner, Capital Project Delivery, Impact Assessment - Mining position, the anticipated annual base pay is $150,000–$165,000 (CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
