Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer
About the Role:
Celero Communications Inc. is an exciting and fast-growing start-up in the semiconductor industry, pushing boundaries with innovative technologies that power the world’s most advanced AI and data center infrastructure.
We are looking for skilled and motivated DSP design engineers to join our team and help us build optical transceivers for next generation optical modems. The ideal candidate must have strong theoretical background in fiber optic channels and digital communications. Candidates with industry experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Researching, inventing, modeling, and simulating
digital signal processing (DSP) techniques required for optical transceivers. - Developing new DSP algorithms to be used in optical transceivers.
- Modeling RF frontends and optical components and evaluating the impact of non-idealities on performance measures.
- Verifying and optimizing performance through simulation of floating-point and fixed-point models.
- Implementing bit-accurate and cycle-accurate models for ASIC implementation.
- Documenting design details and collaborating with ASIC, firmware, and verification teams to reliably transfer the design to ASIC products.
- Team player with a mindset focused on the successful delivery of the first product.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Experience with DSP and/or FEC for optical communications.
- Experience in modeling communication systems.
- Programming experience in C/C++, Python, Matlab, or similar languages.
- 3+ Years of Relevant Experience.
- Experienced in link budget analysis for optical links.
- Experience in modeling optical components and electrical frontends of optical transceivers
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git Hub.

$150,000 - $250,000 Base Annually
The final offer will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
