Equipment Reliability Specialist

What will you be doing!- Developing and executing System Performance Monitoring Plans, Walkdown Plans, Walkdown Reports, and System Health Reports.
- Developing and improving maintenance strategies.
- Assigning maintenance strategies for equipment.
- Restoring configuration management for process, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Providing subject matter expert review and comments on designs.
- Developing engineering specifications and standards, facilitating a consistent design approach.
- Reviewing and/or recommending technical specifications for equipment, tests, and processes/procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
- Education
- At a minimum, a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Engineering from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualifications for membership in that organization.
- Experience
- Experience with reliability‑centred maintenance and predictive maintenance is an asset.
- Experience with vibration analysis, motor circuit analysis, infrared analysis, and ultrasonic applications in maintenance procedures is an asset.
- Experience working in a nuclear environment asset.
- Experience with electrical systems, HVAC systems, and process systems is an asset.
- Significant related engineering work experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in technical matters, to routinely solve technical problems and to make independent decisions.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills; previous experience making technical presentations to small and large audiences.
- Good organization skills and patience.
- Knowledge of Design Engineering practices, Engineering Change Control and Configuration Management.
- Knowledge of reliability‑centred maintenance principles and theory.
- Knowledge of condition‑based maintenance technologies and practices.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3‑5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
- Working schedule:
Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty‑seven and a half (37.5) hour work week. This position is part of the CRPEG Union and is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in the CRPEG Collective Agreement.
