Junior Project Manager; HVAC

This is a full-time permanent position working on-site in our Ottawa branch and supporting our Lead Project manager with various Hvac and construction projects. Company vehicle will be provided.

Junior Project Manager

Location: 2320 St-Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, ON K1G 6C4

Salary range: 75k-85k

Job Description:

• Read; draw plans and specifications for HVAC retrofit and construction projects.
• Assist with bids on retrofit and construction projects in the HVAC industry for new and existing customers.
• Assist with estimating, designing and presenting thermal system solutions to prospective customers; both independently and in collaboration with the estimating team.
• Assuming project management responsibilities over work execution, providing for functional leadership and technical support;
• Ordering and managing deliveries of projects.
• Coordinating with sub-contractors.
• Attending site project meetings and coordinating project schedule.
• Tracking job costing and profitability.
• Working in conjunction with the service team to maximize prospective opportunities.
• Providing operation and maintenance manuals on project as required.

Job Requirements
:

• Ideal candidates would have 2+ years of experience in a related field or 5+ years in Project coordination
• HVAC or Building Systems education or knowledge acquired through experience.
• Knowledge of natural gas, propane, and oil is considered an asset.
• Ability to read, draw and provide equipment specification.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Highly disciplined, independent, entrepreneurial, confident, well organized self-starter.
• Ability to travel to job sites as required with a company vehicle provided
• Team Player.
