Overview
The Director, Portfolio Leader is responsible for developing and executing a strategic approach to markets, clients, and associated projects within the federal infrastructure sector, defense, and municipalities. This role drives innovative solutions to reliably and predictably increase market share and profitability. The incumbent will oversee a portfolio valued between $15M and $30M, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
Your Role Growth & Market Development- Maintain a highly visible presence with clients in the portfolio.
- Actively contribute to market development strategies and execution plans to achieve year-over-year growth in volume and profitability.
- Oversee framework and standing offer contracts, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Monitor RFPs, lead Go/No-Go decisions, develop bid strategies, and direct the preparation of competitive proposals.
- Validate service offerings and ensure alignment with client needs and organizational objectives.
- Provide oversight for project delivery and ensure quality execution within the portfolio.
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
- Chair key internal meetings (kick-off, progress reviews, milestone tracking).
- Validate change requests and contractual amendments.
- Manage claims, waivers, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage the portfolio to meet regional operational and financial goals (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Maintain reasonable risk levels and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Facilitate resolution of client complaints and issues.
- Participate in monthly business unit and market meetings.
- Drive operational efficiency while achieving growth objectives.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, including client relationship management; public sector experience.
- Relevant consulting experience in engineering or infrastructure projects. Proven track record in large‑scale infrastructure projects and market development.
- Proven experience with the Federal Market, including public sector projects.
- Strong professional network across architecture, engineering and construction disciplines at the federal level.
- Strategic vision, leadership, professionalism, integrity, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent ability to interact with clients and stakeholders; fluency in English (spoken and written). French is an asset.
- Business acumen: strong understanding of political, financial and operational dynamics.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a strong asset.
Expected compensation for this role is between $150,000 and $200,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience, location and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
