Co-op Test Engineer - Optical System

• Configure and operate a custom high-speed optical test platform (e.g., coherent transceivers, optical amplifiers, etc.)
• Validate DSP algorithms through rigorous experimental testing
• Document test procedures and results

• Design Python-based automation scripts to streamline instrument control and data logging
• Optimize test sequences for reliability and speed (e.g., parallelizing measurements with multithreading)

• Bachelor's student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on lab experience (e.g., coursework with optical components or measurement equipment)
• Knowledge of optical communication concepts is an asset
• Familiarity with machine learning is an asset
