We have an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Project Manager – Design & Municipal / Land Development with a keen interest in leading projects and interfacing with clients. In this role you will work on project management, planning and engineering design for commercial and residential subdivision development infrastructure such as parking lots, roads, sewers, water mains, storm water management studies and calculations.
The role can be based in our Ottawa or Gatineau offices. A hybrid model is used, with an expectation to be in the office 2 times per week.
- Perform and lead the design of infrastructure projects for various clients throughout Ontario and Quebec (road and parking infrastructure, potable water distribution, fire protection systems, storm and sanitary sewer plans and profiles, site drainage, storm water management design, calculations, studies and planning).
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to guide projects through approval processes.
- Work with the Project Director to manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality and risk assessment to meet client expectations.
- Mentor 1-2 staff members on fundamentals of detail design of civil/siteworks infrastructure and general project management skills.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in municipal infrastructure design.
- Previous experience managing projects is an asset; mentorship is available for the right individual.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) and/or Quebec (ing.) licence or eligible to obtain it.
- French communication skills highly preferred;
English communication skills required. Bilingual (English/French – spoken and written) is essential. - Valid driver's licence.
