We’re working with a well-established consulting engineering firm in Ottawa that’s looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and oversee the electrical design and production process for diverse building projects (commercial, institutional, residential, and light industrial).

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior and intermediate staff.

• Ensure high-quality project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, and production standards.

• Collaborate closely with partners, operations, and cross-disciplinary teams to drive project success.

• Maintain and build strong client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and new opportunities.

• Contribute to business development and support the strategic growth of the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering within the building consulting industry.

• P.Eng designation (preferred), or eligibility to obtain.

• Proven leadership experience in production oversight and team management.

• Strong technical expertise in building electrical systems, including lighting, fire alarm, and power distribution.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and liaise effectively with clients, architects, and contractors.

• A collaborative mindset, with a desire to grow alongside a small, dedicated team and take on greater leadership responsibilities.
