We are currently seeking a qualified Senior FPGA Designer
.
Be part of a team designing advanced FPGA solutions that power cutting‑edge technology. You will architect FPGA systems, develop and verify custom IP, and bring designs to life through integration and hands‑on hardware testing. You will work closely with customer requirements, contribute to innovative design processes, and help shape the future of FPGA technology.
Location: Ottawa, ON
Job Type: Onsite/Hybrid
- Architectural design of the FPGA systems that interface to external interfaces and processors
- Development and verification of custom IP‑blocks and FPGA subsystems
- Development and execution of verification test plans
- Integration of the Custom IP‑blocks in previously developed systems
- Hands on hardware testing and debug on custom designed hardware
- Development of requirements per customer specification
- Writing design documentation and test reports
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in FPGA and digital design and development
- Must have knowledge and experience using electronic test equipment
- Working experience with safety or performance critical products; aerospace robotics or medical product design experience is an asset
- Experience with document writing:
Requirements Design Description Verification - Excellent attention to detail communication and presentation skills
- Experience in VHDL coding and test
- Fluent knowledge of Xilinx Vivado Design Suite
- Experience of Libero SoC Design Suite
- Experience with Model Sim
